I'm sure he's a fine filmmaker - as a basketball fan I can imagine wanting to see Kobe Doin’ Work- I just don't follow anything "Hollywood" closely enough to differentiate.
And to his credit, how many of these guys are really more famous than their individual works? Kubrick, Coppola, Craven … only a handful really, and all of which seem to have settled into their own respective “niche.”
In that spirit, I probably could’ve used any one of those artists for this post. Spike was just rather timely.

Actually, though, I liked 25th Hour, if for nothing else than this scene, and always loved Do The Right Thing (my wife thinks it's too depressing).
